ALTERED CARBON ~ SEASON 1
Playback / Projections / Visual Development
I joined Altered Carbon early in production, helping develop the visual language for the show’s on-set playback screens, projections, and technology. The role went beyond designing individual graphics; it was about establishing systems and a visual direction that could live naturally within the world being built for the series.

I worked closely with multiple departments throughout production, collaborating with the director, VFX supervisors, DOP, set decoration, and other teams to develop graphics that worked both creatively and practically on set. From large-scale projections to screens integrated directly into the environments, the work needed to feel connected to the sets, lighting, cinematography, and the broader visual language of the show.

I was also fortunate to visit the sets during production and experience the world firsthand. Seeing the environments at full scale and understanding how the graphics interacted with the physical spaces gave me a much stronger sense of how the work would ultimately live on screen—and made the process of helping shape the technology of Altered Carbon especially rewarding.
